Courtney & Darren Are Engaged!
Courtney and Darren are so in love and I had such a fun time following them about with my camera. Though I've known Courtney for a few years, it was a pleasure to meet her future groom for the first time on this shoot. Mr.Rose, (love his last name!) seems to be an incredibly easy-going, genuinely good guy which is always refreshing when you know of so many who aren't. The photo-op began at the Mercer Arboretum in Spring, TX and continued to an old car sales lot and we wrapped it up on a piece of property behind an old abandoned building - these kind of locations are often my favorite places to work! Congratulations you two! I look forward to working with you this year and count it an honor you chose to share your storybook romance with me.

Prater Family Portraits
These family photos carry a special place with me because the Praters, are my family. Chloe and Raegan the babies to my aunt and uncle are more like my nieces than my first cousins and I love them to death. I don't know if two more beautiful girls exist on this planet. I also enjoyed capturing some of the sweet little "love moments" between Richard and Julie when they thought noone was looking. The family decked themselves in some comfy jeans and plaid and went barefoot through a local empty horse farm. For the girls individual shoots, we roamed the small town of Huffman (the hometown of my childhood) and checked out a local public garden. I am so excited about these photos and hope you too can appreciate the beauty shared below.

Dement Family Portraits
I made it to TX this week and began my photoshoots almost immediately. One of my first was that of a very real cowboy, Mr. Colton Dement. This little dude was incredibly cute. So expressive (see his "Rolling Stones tongue out" shot below) and such a sweetie, his mom and dad, Joel and Kim (who has the most amazing blue eyes I've ever seen) are raising this boy up well. I warned the group that this would be no ordinary shoot and I am sure they were a bit surprised when we pulled up to an abandoned outlet off the side of the road but the background couldn't have been a more perfect setting for the family and their western wear. Thank you guys for trusting my instincts and letting me do what I do - the results as you can see, were marvelous!

Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Daniel Tyler Ellis
June6th was a beautiful day. The summer heat wasn't at full peak and an occasional breeze blew in and out about the occasional clouds as the sounds of a small symphony filled the courtyard of First Baptist Church in Columbia, MS. DiDi and Tyler finally said I do and along with a gorgeous ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends, the two wrapped up their evening at the local country club - dancing and dining until they were whisked into a waiting limo to head to their honeymoon destination: San Diego. This incredible couple have a long life awaiting them full of potential and I wish them all the best on their new journey. Congratulations you two! Your day was perfect and I'm happy to have been a part!

Amber & Conrad: Engaged!
This North Carolina couple are perfectly sweet together and I enjoyed their company immensely. Amber is the outgoing talkative one and Conrad is the shy, more laid back kind of guy who just watches her with the kind of glances that make your guts smile. Both of them were raised here in MS but made NC their home after the groom-to-be was released from duty from the United States military. The day was incredibly hot but these two troopers made the best of it and as a reward, I took them to a few local fountains to cool off. Can't wait to shoot their wedding in Natchez later this year and to post Amber's Bridals which are gorgeous! In the meantime, enjoy these few sneak-peeks at the future newlyweds and as always, please leave behind your thoughts!

DiDi's Bridals!
Derrith (or DiDi to those who know her personally) was an incredibly beautiful bride with one of the most gorgeous wedding gowns I have ever seen. Her bridal shoot day turned out beautiful after almost two full weeks of rain and so, this session was extremely precarious. I had legs covered in mud and took my little car muddin' up a rather steep hill sliding left and right the whole way. DiDi however, came out unscathed and looked like an angel amongst all the fresh greenery that was out. It also seemed to be fate that her bridals were shot at the same location her groom-to-be had scheduled their rehearsal dinner and she had no idea! I can't wait to get some of their wedding shots posted but in the meantime, feast your eyes on these. The new Mrs. Daniel Tyler Ellis is an absolute bombshell!

Azlyn & Anzly
These girls are living dolls. I plan to photograph them for as long as I'm in the business. I love them like they're my own two nieces and was so glad their mom handed them over to me for this shoot as we welcomed summer in with a stomp about an old abandoned warehouse building. Though Azlyn (the oldest), wasn't in the greatest mood for photos, I actually got her to help me out with baby sister Anzly whom I watched take some of her first few steps! With these two, what you see is what you get and what you get is pure entertainment. LoL* Enjoy the photos and as always, please drop me a line. I love hearing what you think.
